Please note there are now two venues for the State Tennis Tournament:
Texas State University Tennis Center (TXST) (700 Peques Street, San Marcos, TX 78666)
&
Rio Vista Tennis Courts (RV) (555 Cheatham Street, San Marcos, TX 78666)
The locations are about 1.3 miles apart.
8:00 AM @ TX ST — Matches Begin at TX ST (Varsity Boys, Girls & Mixed Doubles, All MS groupings, and All State Championship Matches)
8:30 AM @ Rio Vista — Matches Begin at RV (Varsity Boys & Girls Singles through Semifinals)
Matches will be put on in their sequential order at each location. As you will see in the Schedule Tab now, we have the first matches of the day placed on their assigned court. As each match finishes, the next available match number at that location will take the court. Please be prepared for your match # when it and your name is called.
If there is a strikethrough on the schedule and bracket, that Match # includes a student who is no longer participating in the tournament.
ALL Matches will play a 1 Game (Regular Set) to 6 Games with No-Ad Scoring. A 10 Point Tiebreaker will be played if a match gets to 6-6. The Rule Document does list a single set to 8 games but in an effort to ensure that our Championship matches do not occur extremely late in the evening, we will be playing 1 Set to 6 games. It is a Single Elimination tournament. All players are expected to honorably call their own lines. If a line judge is requested, a coach from both campuses on that court will be called to help serve as a line judge for that court.
