Thursday, November 2 from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.
The International Baccalaureate Organization is evaluating Meridian School’s IB programmes this school year, with an official site visit coming at the end of February (this typically occurs once every five years). We are currently in the self-evaluation portion and are seeking feedback from multiple groups within our school community. Teaching staff have spent time evaluating our practices. Students will be surveyed, and now we are seeking feedback from parents and guardians.
We ask parents and guardians to join us Thursday, November 2 from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. in the Mays Café. Childcare is provided for ages 3+.
Our meeting includes the following:
- An overview of the evaluation process
- Small group rotations to discuss how we are doing in areas where IB expects parents and guardian involvement
- Discussion on areas of strength and potential growth in relation to International Baccalaureate Organization standards.
RSVP is required if you plan to attend. We hope to see many of you there!
Tell me about the childcare option!
Childcare will be offered by students in 11th and 12th grade, along with two staff members, for $5 per child (cash/check only). Children must be at least 3 years of age and toilet-trained. Childcare will be open from 5:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Childcare must be reserved by October 31.
Do I need to RSVP?
Yes, please! To prepare materials and to ensure we have enough workers for childcare, please RSVP. Fill out the form separately for each adult who will attend (only one family member needs to fill out the request for childcare).
Where do I park/go?
The meeting is in the middle school Mays Café. You can park anywhere in the parking lot, including the student parking lot near the middle school. Enter through the South (café patio) entrance. Parking Map
What is the IB Continuum?
IB offers schools a continuum of educational programmes. Primary Years Programme (PYP) for grades K-5. The Middle Years Programme (MYP) for Middle School and lower High School students grades 6-10, and Diploma Programme (DP) grades 11-12.
