Upcoming Leadership Transitions at Meridian

A Fond Farewell to Crystal Lane

Our strong, smart, and funny MYP Principal, Crystal Lane, will be returning to her home state of California with her family to start the next chapter in her career in the world of charter schools. Her oldest son graduated from Meridian last year and is currently attending her alma mater, the University of Redlands, located just east of Los Angeles. The relationships Crystal has formed over the last six years with students, families, and staff have been instrumental in strengthening our MYP program, making a positive difference in many lives.

Welcoming Melissa Reese as MYP Principal

We are fortunate to have a solid team of experienced and prepared campus administrators. Melissa Reese, our dynamic and dedicated PYP Principal for the past five years and an aspiring superintendent, has accepted the position of MYP Principal. Melissa brings with her the advantage of knowing the students and many of the staff, as well as a deep understanding of Meridian’s culture. A lifelong learner, she is ready to expand her knowledge across the IB Continuum and is enthusiastic about her new role.

Welcoming Brooke Knight as PYP Principal

Brooke Knight, our PYP assistant principal, will step into the role of primary principal. Since arriving at Meridian four years ago, Brooke has undergone extensive training to become the next PYP Principal, and we are very pleased that she has accepted this position. Her dedication and passion for education make her an excellent fit for this leadership role. We will be seeking a strong assistant principal to fill her shoes.

Preparing for next year, we are confident that Ms. Reese and Ms. Knight will continue to grow the success of our students and Meridian. We are thankful for your ongoing support as we look forward to our 15th year of providing an invigorating educational environment where we can all enjoy a good life with others.
