Meridian School opened in the fall of 2010, and the school worked hard to complete requirements for PYP authorization. A visitation team from IB spent time at the school in the spring of 2013 and we received authorization a month later. This first visit was for “authorization” and is the first step. However, a great feature of IB is that the recognition is cognizant on continued work on program requirements. The next team visit was for “evaluation” and required growth since the first visit. This occurred in February, 2017 and our notification of continued authorization was received the last week of May. We congratulate the primary staff for their diligent work towards doing the PYP with fidelity!
