2025 Spring Developmental Volleyball

Overview

Competitive Girls Volleyball is open to rising 7th-12th grade students. Based on registration numbers and skills demonstrated during tryouts, we will form up to five Girls Volleyball teams (Varsity, JV, MS Beast, MS Brave, and MS Bold). If there are sufficient registrations for Boys Varsity Volleyball, we hope to return the team for the 2025 season.

Friday, September 5 & Saturday, September 6 - Aggieland Tournament for JV and Varsity. (Travel Tournament - Families should plan on arranging and providing transportation and hotel accommodations for their volleyball player and designate a responsible adult if the parent/guardian is not attending.)

Thursday, September 25 - Adults vs. Students Volleyball Games

Friday, September 26 - Homecoming Games (Date is pending as of April 2025)

TBD - Volleyball Senior Night!

October 27 - November 6 - Area playoffs 

November 7 -8 - Regional Tournament (likely in San Antonio)

Saturday, November 14 - State Tournament (This has been at Texas State for the last few years. No location has been announced yet for 2025.)

Game  Schedule

Meridian is participating in the Texas Charter School Academic and Athletic League (TCSAAL). Each sub varsity team will have up to eight regular season league games and additional non-league games. Varsity teams will have up to ten regular season league games and additional non-league games. High school teams will be entered into up to three tournaments, including the Meridian Labor Day Classic and the Aggieland Tournament. Middle School teams will be entered into one tournament – the Meridian Labor Day Classic. Advancement to league playoffs must be earned by the team. The season ends when competitions end.

 

The Game Schedule will be available in early August. Teams will have about two games a week. A third game in a week or a tournament that week will likely result in a cancelled practice. Games can be any weekday evening or on Saturdays.

 

The Volleyball Game Schedule will be available in August and is subject to change.

Registration

Regular registration ($52.30) opens Wednesday, April 30 and ends at 9 p.m. on Thursday. May 8. 

 

Late registration ($104.60) opens Wednesday, July 23 and ends Wednesday, July 30 at 9 p.m. Late registration will not be available for teams that have not met the minimum registration requirements during the regular registration window. 

 

Lettering & Letter Jackets

Lettering in an extracurricular activity is reserved for the highest level of participation. For Volleyball, this means Varsity Volleyball players. Visit Letter Jackets & Lettering for more information, including the 2024-2025 Lettering Requirements. The 2025-2026  Lettering Requirements will be published in September.
