Jaison Varghese
Jaison joined Meridian as a dedicated substitute in August 2020. Born in Kerala, India, he graduated from Mahatma Gandhi University with a Bachelor's degree in Social Science and Special Education. He taught special education in India for ten years in elementary, middle, and high school levels.
Jaison and his family moved to Austin in 2010, and he worked in the special education field in AISD and RRISD before joining Meridian, where his two daughters attend school. Jaison has a probationary certificate approval in special education k-12 from the state of Texas.
He likes to travel with his family, listen to spiritual songs, try different dishes, read, study the field of education, and explore cultivating different plants. He likes IB because it transforms students and adults, guiding them through the steps of inquiry, action, and reflection during the learning processes.
