Jay Olivier
Jay Olivier joined Meridian in 2023 as the Chief Operating Officer but he and his family have been part of the community since 2016.
Mr. Olivier was born in San Antonio and lived throughout Texas growing up. After graduating from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, he spent some time working in technology support and general contracting before getting his teaching certificate and becoming a high school math teacher. Jay taught in the Houston area for seven years before moving back to the Austin area to teach one more year. He then moved into instructional technology support. While working as an instructional technologist, he earned a Master’s degree in Educational Technology Leadership which allowed him to begin working with departments across school district administration. This led to Jay serving in executive leadership roles in both Liberty Hill ISD and Jarrell ISD before joining the leadership team here at Meridian.
Throughout his career, Jay has kept his core values of always putting students first, assuming positive intent, and leading through service. He is excited to bring these values along with the knowledge and skills from his experience to Meridian.
He and his wife have two children who have both attended Meridian since Kindergarten. The family enjoys gaming together (board games, video games, lawn games, etc.) and Jay enjoys camping, fishing, and the occasional home improvement project.
