Jacqui Jacobs
Jacqui Jacobs joined Meridian in 2024 after moving to the Austin area in 2002. Originally from California, she has lived in various parts of the United States due to her father's Navy service. Jacqui earned dual bachelor's degrees in Zoology and Biology, with a concentration in Biodiversity, from Humboldt State University in Northern California.
Jacqui began her teaching career in biology in 2016. Her passion for education led her to pursue a Master’s degree in Education, specializing in Curriculum and Instruction in Science, from the University of Texas at Arlington, which she completed in 2019. Over the years, she has taught biology, chemistry, integrated physics and chemistry, and aquatic science, with biology being her enduring favorite.
Ms. Jacobs has a deep love for animals, theater, and travel. She is a mother of four and shares her home with a dog, two cats, a tarantula, and a ball python. She has a strong background in theater, having participated in plays during high school and college, and she holds season passes to Broadway in Austin. During the summer, she enjoys traveling, especially spending time with her boyfriend in the French Alps.
