Angela Barron
Angela Barron joined Meridian in August 2014 as a first grade teacher. Angela is originally from San Angelo, Texas and has a degree in Education/Child Study and Language Development from Southwestern University. She did a study term abroad with a Southwestern University program in London, England, and she also completed a Spanish immersion program in Guanajuato, Mexico. She is certified in early childhood through 4th grade and has completed Category 1 and advanced training in IB-PYP. Angela joined Meridian from an authorized IB-PYP school in Killeen ISD. In Killeen, Angela taught primary grade levels for several years and made connections with Meridian through her principal and the Texas IB Schools Group. Angela’s dedication to the IB program and philosophy was clear in that she was willing to drive from Georgetown each day in order to continue to teach the PYP. She is fluent in Spanish and sign language, and she has also worked as a special education life skills coach.
