Torrie is excited to be in her fourth school year, bringing enthusiasm and dedication to our program. With a strong commitment to creating a fun, safe, and enriching environment. Her approach focuses on building a welcoming space where students can thrive. In her spare time, Torrie enjoys spending her evenings and weekends with her friends and family. She looks forward to continuing her journey with Meridian, making a positive impact on students and fostering an inclusive community. 
 

Jenny Polcyn

Ms. Polcyn (She/Her)

Triple A Program Coordinator

 

Jenny Polcyn joined us as the Triple A Program Coordinator in April of 2022. She moved to Austin from Chicago in 2020. Jenny spent multiple years teaching abroad, where she developed a passion for working with students and helping them achieve their goals. She has a background of program coordinating in both public and private schools. Jenny studied at Southern New Hampshire University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. In her free time, she likes to go rock climbing, run, and travel.

Megan Askew (She/Her)

Administrative Assistant

 

Megan Askew is new to the Triple team as Administrative Assistant. She moved from Virginia to Austin, Texas May of 2024. Megan graduated from Old Dominion University obtaining her Bachelor's of Science in psychology. She is continuing her education studying mental health and currently pursuing her teaching certification. In her spare time, she loves traveling, reading a good book, or spending time with close friends and family. She also is a huge foodie! She excited to begin her new chapter in life and happy to join the team!
 
Jessica

Ms. De La Torre (She/Her)

Group A Leader (Kinder)

 

Jessica De La Torre started working for Triple A in 2021. Ever since she graduated high school, she’s been growing and learning endlessly. This includes improving her English, since Spanish is her first language. She’s always open to feedback for improvement. She is a people person who loves to communicate with others, establish relationships and is very passionate doing what she does. Ms. De La Torre became a mommy in April of 2023. She has a love for children and their development that will last forever. 
 
Edmondson

Ms. Edmondson (She/Her)

Group B Leader (Kinder)

 

Christian Edmondson joined the Triple A team as support staff in October of 2022. She was born in Austin, Texas, and enjoys the places that Texas has to offer, such as the parks and shopping malls. She also has an appreciation for alone time, and likes to make the most of that time by reading, listening to music, and checking up on her friends. As the youngest sibling, she's been shown a great example of how to treat younger children by her two brothers. 

 

Marr

Ms. Marr (She/Her)

Group D Leader (1st Grade)

 

Brianna Marr joined the Triple-A team in October of 2022, this being her 3rd school year. She loves doing many things such as reading, traveling, driving/road trips, watching Gilmore Girls, meeting new people, making memories with her group, and so much more. Her dream is to pursue a doctorate in pediatric occupational therapy, as she has always loved working with children. Ms. Marr's biggest philosophy for her Triple A group to learn is to be the best human and student possible. She is always ready for an adventure, and cannot wait to start another school year off!
 
Ariee

Ms. Zamaripa

Group E Leader (1st Grade)

 

Alyssa Zamaripa joined Triple A as a group leader in the summer of 2024. She was born and raised in Las Cruces, NM, but has called Texas her home for over 20 years. Alyssa has a passion for working with children and coaching youth sports, and is currently working towards her doctorate in Clinical Psychology with hopes to continue working with youth. Alyssa enjoys spending time with her family day tripping, watching her son play baseball, shopping with her daughter and spending time with her husband finding new and exciting places to visit. 
 

Erika

Ms. Aviña (She/Her)

Group F Leader (2nd Grade)

 
Erika Aviña was born and raised in Round Rock, TX. She joined the Triple A team in August of 2021. Erika loves being a part of the students' learning process and expanding their minds. Ms. Aviña enjoys trips to Mexico twice a year to visit family. In her free time, Erika can be found spending time with her loved ones. She is looking forward to a wonderful school year!
 
 

Solorio

Group G Leader (2nd Grade)

 

Stephanie Solorio joined the Triple A team in March 2021 as a staff support staff, then transitioned into a group leader role. Stephanie was born and raised in Morgan Hill, California, and has studied Administrative Justice where she also holds a certificate in Communications from Gavilan Community College. She is currently attending Austin Community College earning her degree in Education Instruction to become a Teacher! She loves working in Meridian's spirited culture and diversity and thrives on making connections with staff, students, families, and friends. In her free time, Mrs. Solorio, her wife, and their kids enjoy reading, shopping, exploring new restaurants, refurbishing furniture, reading, and vacationing.
 
 
Erin

Ms. Erin (She/Her)

Group H Leader (3rd Grade)

 

Erin Yielding joined the Triple A team in August of 2023. She was born and raised in Tyler, Texas. After high school, Erin worked as a special needs counselor for adults, a daycare teacher, and once did a seasonal stint at Spirit of Halloween . She has experience working with children of all abilities and ages. When Erin is not working, she is usually spending time exploring local caves, or playing with her elderly cat.
 
 

Robert

Mr. Robert (He/Him)

Support Staff / Substitute Group I Leader (2nd Grade)

 

Robert Trevino was born in Puerto Rico, raised in Austin, and now resides in Round Rock, TX. He joined the Triple A team in December of 2021 as Support Staff, and is currently pursuing a teacher’s certification. Robert is a formally trained multi-instrumentalist, audio engineer and professional musician. He also holds an associates degree in Music Business and Technology, and has a background in retail management. In his spare time, he enjoys drawing, cooking, gardening, woodworking and spending quality time with his wife, son, daughter and grandson.
 
 

Yvonne Camarillo

Group J Leader (4th Grade)

 
Yvonne Camarillo joined Meridian in August of 2017. She was born and raised in Corpus Christi, TX. She attended Austin Community College and South University when she and her family moved to the area. She's certified in Management/Leadership. Throughout her career, she's had the opportunity to co-own a restaurant and manage and market several other businesses before transitioning to the classroom. She has worked in special education inclusion, earning certificates in Capturing Kids Heart and Making the PYP Happen in the Classroom. Mrs. Camarillo has over 20 years of management experience, and 10 years of child care experience in grades K-5. In her present days, she's invested in property managing, focusing on residential living. Mrs Camarillo has said, "Working for the school system with all of her amazing students she's met along the way has truly changed her life for the best, giving her such peace." On her off days, she loves spending time with family and friends, especially her grandson, vacationing, writing, and shopping.

William Anderson joined the team in August of 2024. He was raised in Round Rock as a Meridian student for 12 years before graduating in 2023 with an IB diploma. He is currently studying cyber security. He plays the trumpet and is learning electric guitar.

Nikki Handy is a political science student with collegiate experience in competitive speech, debate, and mock trial. In her  free time she loves to roller skate or watch a good football game! She has a passion for working with children of all ages and admires their fun and free outlook on life. 
Brianna

Ms. Stimmel (She/Her)

Group M Leader (5th Grade)

 

Brianna is from Round Rock, TX. She has been babysitting since 2017 and she finds joy engaging in fun activities with the kids. She enjoys going out in nature and taking pictures on her camera, as well as writing poetry and a variety of literature in her free time. She loves to read, watch criminal justice shows, and spend time with her friends and family.

Ms. Atnip (She/Her)

Ms. Jessie Atnip is born and raised in Round Rock, Texas. In her high school years, she gained previous childcare experience in a mentorship with elementary aged students in the Pflugerville school district. She is majoring in psychology at Austin Community College and strives to eventually pursue a career in child psychology, advocating for children’s mental health. In her free time, she enjoys watching 80’s classic movies while reading a good science fiction book and cuddling with her cats and doggies! 
 
Kayla

Kayla Cerrillo joined the triple A team in August of 2023. Kayla was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, and moved to Round Rock, Texas in 1998. Kayla is a mom of three boys, and a bonus daughter. Her two oldest boys attend Meridian, and are both in middle school this year. Her youngest is a two year old with his own personality. Her bonus daughter graduated and also works at Meridian. In her spare time, she crochets for her small business, and spends time with her husband, kids, and her fur babies.

Nell Osmar joined the Triple A team in February of 2024. She has worked in child education for more than 10 years in public and Montessori schools. She enjoys watching that light bulb moment go on in children as they obtain that sense of accomplishment in their work. She has lived in Georgetown for over 20 years and likes to stay busy and get things done. In her down time she enjoys walks, yoga, eating out, her bible study groups, watching her daughter perform on stage, and hanging out with her husband of 25 years.

Ms. Finlen, is excited to be back for their third school year at Meridian. They love working with kids and creating a positive, inspiring environment for them to grow. They have a son at the school, which makes our community even more special to them.
They have an orange cat, named Crunchy, who’s a big cuddle bug. They enjoy reading, making art, and exploring all kinds of crafts. They are so happy to be back, and they are looking forward to another great year!

Isaac Lee joined the Triple A team in August, 2024, and is currently a hight school intern at Triple A. He is currently in 11th grade, and is working towards the IB diploma. Isaac has had previous experience working childcare in Meridian's student childcare program, and looks forward to working with Meridian's bright young students. Isaac enjoys playing tennis, biking, and can't wait to start this school year!

Dariyen Stone joined the Triple A team in August of 2024 as a high school intern. Dariyen was born in Topeka, Kansas, and lived there until 2019, when he moved to Round Rock, Texas. Dariyen has gained a large amount of experience in child caretaking from taking care of his four younger siblings. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with his two cats.

Marlo Kozakiewicz joined the Triple A team in August, 2024. She was born and raised in Round Rock, Texas. She really loves working with kids, and has had experience with them in the past. She love listening and playing music, going outside, taking pictures, and hanging out with friends and family.

Yuta Giles is one of the high school interns at Triple A this year. He currently attend Meridian World School as a junior, and is looking forward to working with bright young minds this school year. He enjoy swimming competitively and is currently working towards earning his IB Diploma. He has been an active lifeguard for a few years, and has dabbled in the childcare industry a bit. He is looking forward to working with the Triple A students this year! 

Alayna Beaver

Mrs. Beaver (She/Her)

Triple A Substitute

 

Alayna Beaver joined Meridian in August of 2021. She moved to Texas from Bishop, California. She served active duty in the US Army for 5 years, and also had experience as a Tribal Police officer before deciding to transition into Early Childhood Education. She was a licensed childcare provider for a few years, has taught preschool, and assisted with after school aged children as well. She attended Cerro Coso Community College, declaring social science as her major. She also attended Ashworth College, graduating with certificates for Undergraduate Early Childhood Education and Child Development Associate. In addition she also graduated from the New York Institute of Photography, with a certificate in professional photography. When Mrs. Beaver isn't working, she enjoys spending time with her 2 children and husband, early morning runs, watching her son play ice and roller hockey, taking her horse, Denny, on trail rides, and participating in 4H projects with both of her children.
